In my work I am inspired by myths and fairytales. The old myths and fairytales would learn us of the dark forces competing with the forces of the good. At present these fairytales are neglected. In our society we try to neglect the dark and the evil. We ban it. As a result the balance between good and evil is gone. Society needs to recognize the dark in order to maintain the good. In my work I paint nature were I allow the dark forces to roam free. As an artist I strive to contribute in restoring the old balance.
